Cookie Policy
Here's the deal in human language: this site uses a grand total of two kinds of cookies, neither of them creepy. One remembers your banner choice, the other counts page visits anonymously. That's it.
What cookies actually are
A cookie is a small text file your browser saves when you visit a website. It can't run programs, it can't read your files, and it can't follow you home. It just lets the site remember something between visits — like "this person already answered the cookie banner, don't ask again".
That's the whole technology. Everything below is about the handful we use.
The ones we use
We keep this list short on purpose. Two items, full stop:
- Consent preference — remembers whether you clicked Accept or Decline on the banner, so we don't nag you on every page. Lasts 12 months.
- Anonymous page stats — counts which pages get visited, in aggregate. No names, no IPs stored, no profiles. It tells us "the services page is popular", nothing more.
What we don't use:
No advertising cookies. No social media trackers. No fingerprinting. No third-party analytics that share data onwards. We run a hotel, not an ad network.
The banner on the homepage
First time you visit the homepage, a small banner asks whether you're okay with the stats cookie. Two buttons, no dark patterns: Accept turns the anonymous stats on, Decline keeps them off — either way the site works exactly the same.
If you close the banner without choosing, we treat that as a decline. Nothing is set until you say yes.
Changing your mind
Three ways to withdraw or change consent — use whichever is easiest:
- Clear site data in your browser settings — the consent cookie disappears and the banner comes back next visit.
- Email us at traveladventurecasino@gmail.com and we'll flag your preference on our side.
- Call the desk on +61 435 387 679 — yes, we'll handle a cookie question over the phone.
Declining affects nothing about booking a room or contacting us — the site is fully usable either way.
